Lydia Baumgartner (she/her) is a student assistant in the Department of Media Theory. As a student of Studies in Arts and Culture at the University of Applied Arts, she is interested in artistic research methods. She previously studied Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna and Aarhus University.

Currently, she focuses on modes of narration and translation within text and sound; as well as the discrepancies between perceived immediacy and the medium’s orchestration, and how they become instrumentalised. Her practice incorporates collective reading, writing, editing, and recording.
